Type: Arqus Living Labs
Open to: Academics & researchers, Admin. Staff, Early Post-docs, External Stakeholders, General public, PhD Students, Teachers
Co-organised by the European Identity and Heritage Arqus Living Lab, it will count with two speakers from other Arqus universities: Lina Strupinskiene (from Vilnius University) and Elzbieta Stadtmuller (from the University of Wrocław).
The Conference will held in hybrid mode. Researchers interested in attending online must send an email to arqus@uni-leipzig.de.
The conference seeks to provide insights into debates within Ukraine and Europe more broadly on how this war as major humanitarian and geopolitical turmoil affects the reconfiguration of Europe’s political map and its position in the world. It includes reflections on mental maps and memory politics, transitional justice, migration regimes, energy and climate policies, or strategies to integrate e.g., Ukrainian agriculture into the EU.
In an interdisciplinary way, bringing together historical, social and legal sciences, it aims to provide perspectives from within and beyond Ukraine as well as from different parts of the European continent, while also discussing its variable entanglements with other world regions.
