PhD candidates from all Arqus universities are invited to a day of insight into industry competence needs and industrial research projects, by cluster coordinators and companies. The candidates will meet industry leaders within Media, Energy, Seafood, Ocean Technologies, Fintech, Proptech, health and the public sector. They will also meet Media Futures, a prestige centre for research-based innovation (industry collaboration), funded by the Norwegian Research Council, situated at MCB. MediaFutures is mainly focused on AI technology, aiming to contribute to commercial and societal innovations within responsible media technology. The UiB career Office, FERD, will give the candidates information about the support systems for career opportunities.

This event is held by the University of Bergen in collaboration with The Norwegian Cognitive Center (NCC), a consortium for AI innovation, collaboration and competence building, placed at the heart of the Media City Bergen Knowledge cluster, at MCB Media Lab. NCC is backed by 6 industry clusters (National Centres of Expertise), the University of Bergen, the City of Bergen and Helse Bergen.

The day is rounded off with a chance for informal talks with presenters over drinks and light serving.
