Format: Online
Open to: Academics & researchers, Admin. Staff, Teachers
Arqus academic and professional staff are invited to join this Arqus Lounge session on Thursday 24 April, at 1 pm (CEST).
The Arqus Lounge is a great opportunity for Arqus staff to get to know colleagues from other Arqus universities and to talk about current topics, their daily work, related issues and other common interests. As with the Arqus Café, it is also a great opportunity to practice speaking English with others in a relaxed atmosphere. The sessions will be led by moderators who are native-level speakers. This will be a pilot phase and if it takes off, we will look to open additional Arqus Lounges for other languages.
The session is structured in such a way that the first half will be spent on general conversation and the second half on focused conversation with two topics to choose from. We hope that the Arqus Lounge will help to connect people who are interested in similar topics.
As the sessions will be led by two moderators, we will be able to use the breakout rooms for general conversation to be able to speak in smaller groups and for the focused conversations so that you can take part in the conversation topic you are more interested in.
