11 Dec 2024

On Thursday, 21 November, and Friday, 22 November 2024, Maynooth University hosted its first major Arqus event on campus, with the local team coordinating the Arqus Working Group Co-Leads meeting. Colleagues from all Arqus universities travelled to attend the in-person occasion.

The event was filled with collaboration and positive energy shared by all, with new opportunities discussed as well as the funding for the Alliance after 2026. Thursday’s social activities started with a networking coffee morning with many in attendance, followed by a welcoming speech from the Arqus Maynooth Team’s Manager Ben Finnegan. Throughout the day, several different meetings were held all over campus, and visiting colleagues had the chance to engage and meet new people from different departments within the university. Maynooth University staff also benefitted from seeing the Arqus Alliance come together in person, and many staff members learned of previous and upcoming initiatives.
