Selection Process

Master’s Programme in International Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence

Procedure

There are two calls for application. The same process will be adhered to for the acceptance of applicants in both calls. However, those who successfully pass the selection process in the first round will be given preference for admission.

It is essential to note that the first call is the only time in which non-European graduates will be considered. For non-EU applicants who have not yet completed their studies, the deadline for the submission of academic transcripts and the application for equivalency will be mid-May.

Those students who are pursuing their degree in Europe and therefore will obtain a degree in the Bologna framework and who at the time of application have not completed their studies can take part in both calls but must submit their final transcripts by September 5th.

The admission process in every call has a 2-step procedure.

(1) During 1-step, the candidate’s minimum eligibility will be assessed, and the merits presented in the application will be evaluated. Minimum eligibility is based on the following criteria:

  • Minimum accredited level of proficiency in English: B2 CEFR.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. (If not available at the time of application, a signed statement of commitment to submit within the specified application period must be provided).
  • Accredited Technology Competence, given by any of the following criteria:
    • Degree in IT-related programme (e.g., Computer Science Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Telecommunications, Informatics, Software Engineering), or
    • 2 years of professional experience in the IT field, or
    • Equivalence to 3 years of training on IT topics.

(2) In the 2-step, an interview will be appointed with pre-selected candidates. The following criteria will be applied to select the accepted candidates:

  • Communication skills
