Access to the application platform

Access to the application platform is now open.

Please note, that in this first year of launch, our application platform is integrated into the Vilnius University system, this does not mean, that applications have the same process of checking, admission and acceptance of applicants in the joint master’s programme.

Therefore, when applying, applicants have the option to choose only our programme, instead of selecting several programmes (as Vilnius University offers in its procedure).

Likewise, the application fees for our joint master programme are set for EU citizens at 30 Euros. Meanwhile, non-EU nationals interested in the joint programme will have to pay an application fee of 100 euros.

*Please note that the system will reject your payment for amount less than 50 EUR, to resolve the issue, please contact directly to infocybermaster@arqus-alliance.eu

Admission of selected students

All students entering the selection procedure will get notification of the status of their application after the two main steps of the process, generally around the interview phase.

Those students shortlisted by the selection committee after the interview will be informed and will have a period of time to formally register – which is done through the University of Granada as the coordinating university of the master’s degree.

A reserve list will be created in case there are any places available for that academic year. The reserve lists will not be valid from one year to the next. Therefore, those students who are not selected if they wish to apply for another year will have to register again in the selection process.

Students formally enrolled in the joint master’s program will be students of the four universities in the consortium and will therefore be able to benefit from all the active resources available to students at the different universities.

They will also be able to benefit from and participate in all the initiatives framed within the Arqus Alliance.

The universities of the consortium will provide support to all students to make the admission and integration process as smooth as possible.

Information on VISAS for non-EU students

The 4 universities will assist all non-European citizens enrolling in our joint master’s program in their Visa application process. The expected general process to be followed by all non-EU students is as follows:

  1. Apply for a Schengen student visa for 365 days in Italy and obtain a residence permit for 1 year also during the first semester.
Some information can be found for this process here and in particular the section “Before your arrival”, Step 5
  2. Travel to Vilnius with the Italian residence permit, students can simply register and obtain the Lithuanian residence permit or use the flexibility of the national law and stay with the Italian resident permit.
  3. Students will have to apply for a new student visa to Spain while living in Lithuania. The UGR will support students in applying for the visa at the Spanish consulate in Lithuania.
  4. They will have a year of Spanish VISA that will allow them to travel to Portugal to participate in the Graduation week and stay for the duration of the program.
  5. There may be additional steps, depending on the country in which the student decides to reside in his/her fourth semester during the preparation of his/her thesis.

*This process is the simplest of the possible scenarios foreseen by the four universities, but it may vary depending on the nationality of the student and even if there are changes in the different national regulations of each country, in this case, Italy, Lithuania, Spain and Portugal.
