Participation costs

Students admitted to the master’s programme will have to pay the academic and administrative fees. Specific fees per university might be requested in due course for extra services such as student insurance.

Important: Fees will be reviewed yearly and whenever it becomes necessary. In any case, the official fees at the time of enrolment will prevail each academic year.

Opportunities for scholarships and financial support

Several funding opportunities may be available to MICAC students. Please note that scholarship availability, eligibility criteria, amounts and application procedures may vary from one academic year to another. Candidates are strongly encouraged to check the official information published by each funding body and partner university.

Erasmus+ mobility support

MICAC students are normally eligible to apply for Erasmus+ mobility support for the mandatory mobility periods included in the programme, provided that they are not receiving another incompatible scholarship for the same mobility period.

Erasmus+ support may be available for a maximum of 12 months during the programme. The exact amount and conditions depend on the applicable Erasmus+ rules, the mobility destination, the student’s profile and the funding available in each academic year.

Please note that Erasmus+ mobility support should not be understood as a full scholarship covering all tuition fees and living costs.

Cyberactioning project grants

The Cyberactioning project has provided public funding to support selected students during the master programme, including support linked to paid internships and digital innovation activities.

Eligibility for Cyberactioning funding depends on the applicable funding rules and on the countries eligible under the Digital Europe Programme. In particular, this type of funding may be limited to students whose nationality is from an EU Member State or a country associated to the Digital Europe Programme.

The list of countries associated to the Digital Europe Programme is published by the European Commission and may be updated over time. Candidates should consult the official European Commission guidance for the applicable list of eligible countries: https://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunities/docs/2021-2027/digital/guidance/list-3rd-country-participation_digital_en.pdf

Please note that Cyberactioning funding is subject to the conditions of the project and cannot be guaranteed for all students or all intakes.

Italian national and regional scholarships

Students starting MICAC at the University of Padua may also explore scholarship opportunities available in Italy, including national and regional schemes.

These may include, among others:

  • MAECI scholarships offered by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation;
  • Regione Veneto / regional financial aid opportunities;
  • scholarships and fee-waiver opportunities offered or promoted by the University of Padua.

Eligibility, deadlines and application procedures are established by the relevant Italian authorities or by the University of Padua. Students should check the official UNIPD website for updated information: https://www.unipd.it/en/scholarships-international-students

National and regional funding

Depending on the student’s country of residence or nationality, there may be national, regional or local scholarships and grants available for studying abroad.

Candidates are encouraged to check the funding opportunities offered by their home country, regional authorities, ministries, foundations or other national scholarship bodies.

Scholarships and grants offered by partner universities

Additional scholarships, grants or financial aid opportunities may be available through the four MICAC partner universities. These opportunities are managed directly by each institution and may have specific eligibility criteria, deadlines and procedures. Students should consult the official websites of each university for updated information.

Important note

Scholarships and financial support are not automatically granted with admission to MICAC. Unless explicitly stated otherwise in a specific call, students should plan their finances carefully and should not rely on receiving a scholarship to cover the full cost of the programme.
