Start-up support at Vilnius University
Tech Hub pre-accelerator is a 6-month program, designed to equip participants with essential entrepreneurial skills and helping them find team members while offering hands-on experience in launching a startup.
The program unfolds in two phases, beginning with a dynamic first month where all participants converge to engage in team-building exercises and tackle diverse business challenges. This initial period serves as a ground for forging meaningful connections and identifying potential teammates from a pool of 45 carefully selected students representing various disciplines.
The other 5 months are dedicated to forming a team and continuing work on a specifically chosen startup idea, with participants engaging in workshops covering topics such as defining the problem, identifying target customers, analyzing competitors, crafting marketing and sales strategies, and learning how to pitch to investors.
VU Tech Hub focuses on a wide array of industries, with particular emphasis on research-intensive and knowledge-driven fields such as biotechnology, healthcare, and technology. Additionally, it supports ventures in the cultural and creative industries, communication, sustainability, and social innovation.
Through tailored mentorship, access to resources, and a robust network of industry experts, VU Tech Hub empowers entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into successful ventures. VU Tech Hub has successfully attracted €4,420,000 in investments from venture capital and business angels, along with €1,917,835 in financing from EU projects. In 2022, the revenue from 47 startups reached €4,218,770, with taxes paid by TechHub startups amounting to €1,070,000 annually, supporting over 147 employees with an average salary of €1,553.
