Arqus joint call for Blended Intensive Programmes

Arqus is pleased to launch its first joint pilot call for Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) which are intensive courses that combine short periods of face-to-face activity combined with online learning and virtual collaboration between at least 3 partners. They are designed and funded by the Erasmus+ programme.

A BIP must involve at least 3 partners from Erasmus+ programme countries, and in this case at least 2 from the Arqus Alliance, to be considered eligible.

One of the partners will assume the role of coordinator. The coordinator will host the in-place activities for 5 (minimum) to 30 (maximum) days and provide at least 3 ECTS to all participants. The home institution of each participant will be responsible for the recognition of the credits in his/her career.

The virtual component is compulsory, but there are no constraints on timing or length.

The BIP should involve at least 15 mobile participants from universities in the programme countries. Participants can be either students (all cycles) or staff.

Activities must be completed by 31 July 2025.

This year’s edition is intended to be a pilot edition, funded by the remaining funds from the Erasmus+ 2023 call. The next edition will be more comprehensive.

Funding

For this first edition, Arqus will be able to fund 5 programmes to be hosted by either Graz, Lyon or Padua through their Erasmus+ KA131 budget. The funds provided by the host institution are meant to cover organizational costs. Mobilities will be funded by the partners through their KA131 budgets.
