Vilnius University organised an Integration Week for Arqus students arriving in Lithuania for the second semester of the Joint Master’s Programme in International Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence.

In order to better prepare the new students for their academic experience in Vilnius University, lectures and seminars were scheduled. On 3 March, a Welcome Meeting took place at the VU Central building in Vilnius Old Town. The next day, Master students were introduced to the semester’s study process, facilities, activities, support, and how to access IT resources of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (MIF). Lastly, on 5 March, they had the opportunity to visit other Vilnius University departments on the Saulėtekis Avenue campus and get to know VU Scholarly Communication and Information Centre, the Health and Sports Centre, the Library and the Cultural Center.

This Integration Week welcomed students to snowy Lithuania at the beginning of their second semester of this Arqus Joint Master’s Programme. Lessons started on 10 March, just before Lithuanian Independence Restoration Day (11 March).

The Arqus Joint Master’s Programme in International Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence offers the unique opportunity for students to study each semester in a different country, familiarising themselves with different cybersecurity practices and acquiring wide, international knowledge in this rapidly developing area. This Master’s Programme is jointly carried out by four Arqus universities: Granada (Spain), Minho (Portugal), Padua (Italy) and Vilnius (Lithuania).
