The University of Wrocław invites the Arqus community to its new workshop “Microcredentials as a New Form of Education – A Change or a Complement to Traditional Forms of Learning? The Perspective of Italian and Polish Universities” in Wrocław from Wednesday, 22 October, to Friday, 24 October 2025. 

In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to collaborative explore and discuss the evolving landscape of microcredentials within higher education, with a particular perspective of Italian and Polish Universities. The programme will delve into whether microcredentials serve as a transformative change or a valuable complement to established learning paradigms. 

The Workshop programme

22 October 2025 (Wednesday)

  • 10:00: Welcome and Opening Remarks at Oratorium Marianum, Main Building of the University of Wrocław.
  • 10:30–17:00: Workshops, Parts I & II, at Collegium Antropologicum (ul. Kuźnicza 35, rooms 114 and 220)
  • 13:00–14:30: Lunch break
  • 18:00: Welcome Dinner at Club Hall, Main Building of the University of Wrocław.

23 October 2025 (Thursday)

  • 10:00: Guided City Tour, meeting at the Swordsman Fountain in front of the Main Building of the University.
  • 14:00–17:00: Workshops, Part III, at Collegium Antropologicum (ul. Kuźnicza 35, rooms 114 and 220).

24 October 2025 (Friday)

  • 10:00–13:00: Workshops, Part IV, at Collegium Antropologicum (ul. Kuźnicza 35, rooms 114 and 220).
  • 13:00–14:00: Lunch break.
  • 14:00–15:00: Closing Session and Certificate Awarding.
Financial support

The University of Wrocław offered financial support to participants, covering various expenses:

  • Accommodation and Daily Allowance: A lump sum of 300 PLN (€70.52) per day (including travel days).
  • Stipend:
    • 250 PLN (€58.73) per day for staff holding a PhD degree.
    • 125 PLN (€29.36) per day for those without a PhD degree.
  • Travel Allowance:
    • 1000 PLN (€234.92) for participants from Lithuania.
    • 1500 PLN (€352.38)for participants from Germany and Austria.
    • 2000 PLN (€469.84) for participants from Italy, France, and Ireland.
    • 3000 PLN (€704.76) for participants from Spain and Portugal.
  • Included: Coffee breaks and the welcome dinner are fully covered.

This workshop is financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) in the framework of the Support for European Universities project.
