Arqus will participate in the IDEM Project Bootcamp about inclusion and diversity
|
04 Nov 2022Next 8th November, the Arqus Alliance will join an engaging online event taking place within the IDEM project, “Inclusion, Diversity and Equity in Mobility”. Lucia Gennaro, member of the Arqus Inclusion & Diversity Hub, will participate in a panel about inclusion and diversity strategies at the European level within a three-day long Bootcamp.
The IDEM project aims to ensure and facilitate the full participation of students with disabilities, refugee students and first-generation students in mobility programmes. It seeks to design concrete solutions and paths for students with fewer opportunities to participate in mobility programmes. IDEM is coordinated by the Technical University of Darmstadt (Germany) and promoted by the UNITE! European University Alliance. The IDEM project maintains a close relationship with the SIEM project promoted by the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), an associate partner of Arqus.
The IDEM Bootcamp will represent both a deepening of existing connections, for instance with ESN, and a starting point of brand new collaborations with other European University Alliances committed to inclusion and diversity. The specific panel where Arqus has been invited to participate will discuss inclusion and diversity strategies at the European level from different perspectives. Along with Lucia Gennaro, the panellists will be: Josip Luša (SALTO Resource Centre for Inclusion and Diversity, Croatian Erasmus+ National Agency); Martin Bogdan (Policy Officer, Academic Cooperation Association); and Wim Gabriels (Director, Erasmus Student Network). The meeting will be moderated by Benedetta Gennaro, Head of International Student Services at TU Darmstadt and coordinator of the IDEM project.
With this event, Arqus increases its participation in European fora, initiatives and projects concerning inclusion and inclusive mobility.
