The Arqus Rectors hold today the 10th Rectors’ Council in Graz, in the frame of the third Arqus Annual Conference

The Rectors of all Arqus universities meet today at the University of Graz for their 10th Rectors’ Council. The meeting is framed within the programme of events and activities scheduled for the third Arqus Annual Conference hosted by the University of Graz from 3^rd to 5^th April.

The Arqus highest representatives will discuss internally in a one-hour session (from 17:00 to 18:00 CET) the main policy decisions affecting the Alliance. They will also take part in a strategic workshop aimed at discussing the future institutional design of Arqus together with some Vice-Rectors, the members of the International Advisory Board, and the leaders of the “Arqus Development” work package.

After the meetings, the Rectors will have the opportunity to enjoy a welcome reception offered by the Government of Styria to all the Conference’s participants, and that will count on the participation of Josef Smolle, Member of the Austrian Parliament.

It is expected that the Arqus Rectors participate in the formal opening ceremony that will take place tomorrow, 5^th April, from 09:15 to 09:45 CET. The event will be chaired by the Federal Minister of Education, Science and Research, Martin Polaschek, a Member of the Municipal Council of the City of Graz, Christian Kozina-Voit, and the Rector of the University of Graz, Peter Riedler, and it will be live-streamed on the Arqus YouTube channel.
