16 Sep 2024Arqus Alliance is proud to announce the launch of the 2nd edition of the Arqus Alumni Mentorship Programme, an initiative aimed at fostering lifelong learning and professional development for students and recent graduates. Developed through the Arqus Student Agora, this online programme connects Arqus alumni with current students and recent graduates, providing them with mentorship, career guidance and valuable networking opportunities.
The Arqus Alumni Mentorship Programme is designed to support students in work-integrated learning and their transition into the professional world, particularly in transnational contexts. The programme aims to empower and inspire mentees to reach their full potential and succeed in their chosen fields.
Alumni who volunteer as mentors will commit to a minimum of four months of mentoring, meeting with their mentees at least once a month. Mentors will provide feedback and advice and will share their professional networks with their mentees. They will establish positive and productive relationships, setting clear expectations and providing ongoing support throughout the mentoring period. This unique opportunity allows Arqus alumni to give back to their alma mater and support the next generation of professionals.
The Arqus Alumni Mentorship Programme offers a wide range of resources, including free career development materials, training sessions on soft skills, online networking events, and access to Arqus updates and resources. Participants will also have the opportunity to receive a programme certificate and a recommendation letter upon request.
Eligibility for the programme is open to all current students and recent graduates (up to one year) of Arqus partner universities. Mentees should have an interest in the Arqus Alliance and a commitment to personal and professional growth. Mentors must be alumni of Arqus activities and have at least one year of experience in their field of expertise.
Participants should be prepared to commit to the programme for at least four months, with regular meetings and completion of assigned tasks or assignments. The mentorship programme coordinators will provide guidance and support to help participants effectively manage their time and get the most out of the experience.
Students or alumni interested in becoming mentees or mentors should fill in the specific application form.
