Join the Arqus Alumni Talks and listen to career challenges and experiences from the alumni perspective

20 Feb 2024The Arqus Linking Local Ecosystems team invites entrepreneurs, but also students, academics and interested professionals to participate in the first edition of the Arqus Alumni Talk webinar series, which will take place from February to December 2024. The first talk, promoted by the University of Minho, will be dedicated to “Stress management and high performance”. It will be held online on 28th February at 11:00 CET.
The Alumni Talk series aims to support current students and staff in facing career challenges from the professional perspective of alumni. The talks will be held in an online synchronous format and will last between 45 and 60 minutes. The sessions, organised by experts from the different Arqus universities, will focus on topics such as integration into the labour market, starting a career, career progression and others.
The first talk, promoted by the University of Minho, aims to present a short highlight about stress management and how it impacts performance. It will take place online on 28th February at 11:00 CET. Registration is needed at the link below:
Rui Gomes is an Assistant Professor in the School of Psychology, Department of Applied Psychology, at the University of Minho, Portugal.
He received his academic degrees (Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD) in the field of Psychology, from the University of Minho. In research, he is interested in human adaptation to stress, team leadership and performance, and life skills training and human development. He is responsible for the research group Adaptation, Performance and Human Development, whose results are disseminated in the community by the School of Life Skills. His intervention focuses on the area of sports psychology and life skills training in different contexts and age groups.
Liliana Fontes is an invited Professor at the School of Psychology at the University of Minho, Portugal.
She obtained a Master’s degree in Psychology and a PhD in Textile Engineering, both from the University of Minho. In research, she is interested in Sports Psychology and life skills training and human development. She is a member of the research group Adaptation, Performance and Human Development, whose results are disseminated in the community by the School of Life Skills. Her intervention work focuses on the area of sports psychology and life skills training in different contexts and age groups.
