09 Oct 2024The EUSAF24 is the pilot project for the communication of student representatives of European university alliances. Throughout the forum, we held two workshops and multiple plenary sessions and debates. Here, students from all alliances meet to discuss all topics relevant to our work like what volunteering as a student should look like, their role in the alliance, how to lead a project or how to collaborate. Aside from acquiring new skills and knowledge, another main focus was connecting the student parties with each other. This led to the plan of creating a functioning network for current problems and practice sharing, that will help us work more efficiently.
It was fascinating to see how all alliances have so different goals and structures, yet all of us were struggling with the same problems; mainly student participation. It was very inspiring to see how others are tackling this problem and the fruits of their labor.
In support of that we held presentations of our best practices, which I also participated in. Sharing my findings with our Student Council and adapting them could also benefit our alliance and will be discussed in our next meeting. But besides that, I was also happy to make new international friends that I’m looking forward to working with.
