Lyon 1 co-organises the Summer School in Oncology “Accelerating innovation in cancer research and care”

The University of Lyon 1 invites Arqus academics and early-stage researchers to participate in the Summer School in Oncology “Accelerating innovation in cancer research and care”, which will take place from 2^nd to 10^th July 2024 in ESI Archamps, Greater Geneva (France).

The Summer School in Oncology “Accelerating innovation in cancer research and care” aims to explore how entrepreneurial innovation in cancer research and healthcare can shape your career, as you collaborate with a global team of experts across disciplines, gaining diverse perspectives and skills to surpass conventional limits.

Participants will have the opportunity to benefit from:

• A series of inspirational talks and roundtables with entrepreneurs, associations, and researchers.
• Teams’ collaboration to work on innovative projects (including developing business models and pitching it to a jury of specialists).
• An insight into the innovation process with sessions on entrepreneurship, communication, intellectual property, finance & investment.
• Scientific mentoring and innovation coaching.
• A visit of Cern’s ideasquare.

The deadline for applications is 12^th March.

Applicants must submit an innovation idea/project proposal in one of these four areas:

• Prevention.
• Personalised treatment.
• Early detection & extended diagnosis.
• Follow-up / Quality of life / Survivorship.

Scholarships covering travel and accommodation expenses can be granted.
