National Conference on the European Degree and the Higher Education Package

The EDLab pilot project organises a national conference on the European Degree and the Higher Education Package, in collaboration with EELISA Alliance.

The Conference, hosted at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), takes place on 30 September 2024. The objective is to disseminate the content of the Higher Education Package published by the European Commission on 27 March 2024 and to contribute to the debate on the translation of these proposals to the national environment.

The day will begin with the presentation of the package of proposals by the EAC Directorate-General of the European Commission, followed by a series of panels that will count with the participation of the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (MICIN), Quality Agencies, Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE), European alliances with Spanish participation, CREUP and Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE) as panellists.

09:00: Welcome and Opening by the Polytechnical University of Madrid’s Rector, Guillermo Cisneros Pérez.

09:15: Presentation of the Higher Education Package by Vanessa Debiais-Sainton, Head of Unit Higher Education, DG Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC), European Commission.

Presentation by Alejandro L. de Pablo Serrano, advisor to the General Secretariat for Universities (SGU) on the possible implementation in Spain of the European Degree and other elements of the Higher Education Package.

Debate.
