24 Feb 2025On 20 and 21 February, the University of Granada held a working meeting regarding the future implementation of an Arqus Joint Master’s Programme in Translation, Technologies and Artificial Intelligence. Around 20 members of academic and technical staff from the Universities of Graz (Austria), coordinator of the initiative, Vilnius (Lithuania), Minho (Portugal) and Granada (Spain) attended the meeting.
This is the second face-to-face meeting of the Arqus universities involved after the one held in Wrocław on 18 and 19 November 2024. These meetings seek to configure an innovative training offer with a leading role in the use of new technologies, such as generative AI. One of the goals of this future Joint Master’s Programme is to train translation professionals to generate new work support tools based on new technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence.
While the universities of Granada, Graz, Minho and Vilnius work towards the creation of this future Arqus Joint Master’s Programme in Translation, Technologies and Artificial Intelligence, the Alliance already offers 3 Arqus Joint Master’s Programmes: in International Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence, in European Studies and in Translation.
The University of Granada is also working on the design of 4 new joint Master’s and 2 new joint Bacherlor’s degrees in subjects such as environmental law, human nutrition or physics.
