The European Commission has just published the report “Outcomes and Transformational Potential of the European Universities Initiative” which sets the progress and achievements of the initiative since its inception in 2019.

This report draws on the extensive work of PPMI, a European research and policy analysis centre, and it is the product of extensive consultations and a rich body of data, including those collected as part of the monitoring framework exercise, which targeted primarily the first alliances established during the pilot phase of the project.

Arqus has actively contributed to this effort by participating in the development and data collection of the Monitoring Framework, which informed the findings of this study.

The alliances’ cooperation and progressive integration have been a game changer in the European higher education, research and innovation landscape since 2019. The Report represents a key milestone for the European Universities initiative, underlining its potential for transforming higher education across Europe and delivering on its ambitious goals, while also providing future policy direction and avenues to ensure its long-term success.

Arqus will continue playing an active role in the European Universities initiative and shaping the future of higher education in Europe.
