Five students from Master’s programmes in Sustainable Development, Circular Economy and Climate Change and Transformation Science at the University of Graz (UniGraz) have met Master’s students at the School of Economics and Management of the University of Minho (UMinho), as part of their Twinning mobility. These future leaders are immersed in a dynamic programme at the University of Minho, accompanied by Prof. Rita Sousa and Prof. Joao Cerejeira from UMinho, and Senior Lecturer Eva Fleiss from UniGraz.

Last September, 12 projects were selected in the Twinning 2.0 call, an international mobility programme for two groups from two Arqus universities, consisting of one lecturer and three to five students reciprocally visiting each other’s partner institution to carry out a joint programme and share learning experiences. This initiative unites students and academics from both universities in a collaborative exploration of sustainability and digital innovation.

During a week filled with interactive workshops, lectures, and site visits, the short-term exchange has been a hotbed for idea-sharing and discussion. Master’s students and faculty from the University of Graz, alongside their peers from the University of Minho, have engaged in thought-provoking activities, each contributing unique perspectives on sustainable development, circular economy,  climate change and digital innovation.

This reciprocal learning experience emphasizes the importance of cross-institutional exchanges in fostering innovation and global academic relationships. The next phase of this twinning will be when the University of Minho visits the University of Graz at the end of March.
