The University of Lyon 1 hosts the Advanced Drug and Gene Delivery Systems Workshop

The workshop “Advanced Drug and Gene Delivery Systems” took place on 17 January at the Institute of Pharmaceutical and Biological Sciences (ISPB) at the University of Lyon 1. This event, supported by the Arqus programme and Transcan-ARC Perimmune, highlighted advances in nanomedicine for cancer treatment and gathered nationally and internationally renowned experts and leaders in the field, to discuss the latest innovations.

A total of 60 participants, including researchers, industrials, PhD students, postdocs and Master students, attended the workshop, which featured discussions on the latest advancements and innovations in the following areas:

  • Drug Delivery
  • Nanomedicine
  • Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADC)
  • Modification of Oligonucleotides
  • Immunotherapy

The workshop was co-organized with Prof. Susanna Madruzzato from the University of Padua and welcomed external speakers from Arqus and internationally renowned researchers. Among them were Prof. Charles Dumontet from the University of Lyon, Prof. Twan Lammers from the University of Aachen (Germany), Prof. Alexandre Detappe from the University of Strasbourg, Prof. Michael Smietana from the University of Montpellier, and Dr. Francesco Naso from the IRCCS Santa Lucia Foundation in Rome, Italy.
