The Arqus community wishes a nice and safe festive season and a very happy 2021!

 Another year is about to come to an end and we all normally use these last days to think back and recap on the good and the bad. With no doubt we can say that 2020 has not been an easy year. Nevertheless, 2020 has been also the year where we can clearly say we have made considerable progress in laying the foundations of our joint endeavour: the Arqus European University Alliance.

The COVID-19 pandemia has put us to the test, but we have passed the test with flying colours. And the most important thing: we did it together. It is time to say goodbye to 2020, a year that has been a journey full of challenges and objectives to overcome. Nonetheless, we have not been intimidated by adversity, in fact we can say we came out even stronger.

Thanks to a considerable number of colleagues within Arqus universities we have got this far. It is the commitment of those students and staff members that powers Arqus, creating a community that aims to transform our institutions by building together this Alliance. We all are bringing our two cents to build a truly European higher education, with no borders.

We count on you for 2021! We will keep working together towards a more multidisciplinary, multilingual, multicultural, entrepreneurial, participative, innovative, research-based and inclusive University. Normal may never be the same again, and this is why we shall take this opportunity to create a better version of ourselves.

Our jointness is our strength. Let’s go for 2021!
