No further supplements or refunds for travel costs are provided, unless additional funds are provided by the home university.

Application deadlines and procedures

Students can apply for BIPs by submitting their applications via the dedicated form.

Deadline: 6 April 2025

Through the application, students will be required to provide their contact details and information about their study field, as well as to submit a motivation letter, a CV, a transcript of records (for students) and, if available, a proof of language proficiency.

Each candidate can apply for a maximum of 1 project.

Selection criteria

The selection will be conducted  taking into account the following criteria:

  1. Academic merit;
  2. Relevance of the degree course or curriculum to the topic of the selected project;
  3. CV of the candidate;
  4. Motivation letter;
  5. Language proficiency.

An eligibility check of applications will be made by Arqus reference staff in each partner university prior to the selection.

A reserve list will be made out of the eligible applications not approved for funding. In case of cancellation by one or more participants, the next candidate(s) in the ranking list from the same university – if present – or the next student in the ranking list  will be awarded the place.

Selection committee

The selection committee will be composed as follows:

  • Coordinators of Arqus BIP approved
  • Further members indicated by the coordinators

Grant notification will be provided to applicants by 15 days after the closure of the call and duly launched on the Arqus website accordingly.

Obligations of the selected applicants

Selected applicants will be required to inform the Selection Committee of the acceptance of the spot in the programme. The deadline for the acceptance will be specified in the grant notification.

Places available due to non-acceptance by successful students will be allocated to the next candidate in a suitable position on the ranking list.

Selected students will have to carry out some administrative tasks before, during and after the BIP period to ensure the recognition and the grant (in case of mobile participants): detailed information and materials about the necessary procedures will be provided by the respective home institutions.

Withdrawals as well as any other inconvenience related to the participation in a BIP should be communicated to the Mobility Officers at each partner university and to mobility-hub@arqus-alliance.eu.

Implementation, recognition and added values

At the end of the Programme, all participants (both mobile and local) will receive an Arqus certificate of participation.

Mobility officers at each university will provide instructions on the overall implementation rules, financial management and mobility recognition once the mobile participants  are selected and in accordance with the regulations at each institution.

Local participants will not get any financial support, however recognition may be possible depending on the internal regulations of each programme.
