Leipzig University holds the online two-part workshop “Optimize your language learning” tomorrow, 24th November, and 15th December from 17:15 to 18:15 CET. The workshop, organised in the framework of the Arqus Café initiatives led by this university, is open to all students and staff from the Arqus universities, regardless of the foreign language or the corresponding language level (A1-C1).

What language learning strategies do you currently use and how could they be improved? What do you have the most problems with and how can you deal with them? What is your goal and what method can help you achieve it? These questions are the starting point of the workshop series. Learning a language in a language course is often quite straightforward (at least in theory). Autonomous language learning, on the other hand, offers much more possibilities and freedom, but also requires (self-) organisation and motivation.

In this two-part workshop, new approaches and techniques for language learning outside the classroom will be discussed, supporting students to find out what works best for them. The workshop will focus more on speaking and comprehension than on reading and writing.

The workshop will take place online (in English) on 24th November (tomorrow) and 15th December from 17:15 to 18:15 CET. Participation is required on both days.

Registration is open until today, 23rd November here.
