05 Dec 2023On 6th December, Arqus will be participating in the face-to-face conference “Neurodiversity in academia: where are we heading?” organised by the Equal Opportunities Team of Vilnius University.
Each year, on the occasion of the celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities and Human Rights Day, the Community Wellbeing Department at Vilnius University organizes a conference that serves as a platform to exchange best practices, share experiences, and delve into discussions about the accessibility of Lithuanian higher education, focusing on male and female students with disabilities or unique individual needs.
This year, Vilnius University extends its invitation to colleagues to contribute their experiences on the theme of neurodiversity in higher education. Throughout the conference, esteemed Lithuanian researchers, practitioners, and experts will present the latest knowledge and insights related to neurodiversity and inclusive higher education.
Drawing on the collaborative strength of the Arqus Alliance and its Inclusion & Diversity Hub, Philipp Klemm from the Equal Opportunities Office at Leipzig University will participate in the conference. He will share Leipzig University’s practices in fostering inclusivity. Furthermore, the conference will provide a platform for neurodiverse members of the university community to share their invaluable experiences, contributing to a richer and more comprehensive understanding of neurodiversity in the context of higher education.
