The University of Granada (UGR), as Coordinator of the Arqus Alliance, has just published two job offers for a Community Manager and a Graphic Designer to join the Arqus Coordination Team.

Offer 1: Community Manager and Content Manager for the website (WordPress)

The Arqus Coordination team serves the entire Alliance from its headquarters at UGR. Under the supervision of the Communications Director, and as part of the Central Arqus Communications Office, the Community Manager will be responsible for performing the following duties:

  • Support for the design and implementation of the Arqus Communication Plan.
  • Support to the coordination of the Arqus Communication team both at the Alliance and local level.
  • Community Management and Communication:
    • Build, manage and grow the Arqus community in social networks, reaching students, teachers, researchers, alumni, stakeholders and the general public.
    • Creation of the long-term social media communication strategy.
    • Develop quality and engaging content for newsletters, blogs, social networks and websites.
    • Ensure consistent communication aligned with the brand and tone of the partnership.
    • Develop and execute engagement strategies to foster interactions and collaborations among diverse stakeholders.
    • Monitor and respond to discussions within the community on forums, social media and other communication channels.
    • Organise and promote virtual events, webinars and community-building activities.
    • Keep up to date with events related to the alliance and the European University Initiative and interact with other institutions on social media.
  • Content management of the Alliance website in WordPress:
    • Design, update and manage content on the alliance website based on WordPress, ensuring a coherent integration between visuals and written content.
    • Collaborate with web developers to improve the site’s functionality, user experience and SEO performance.
    • Create, update and manage content on the WordPress platform, including blog posts, event announcements and other digital resources.
  • Data and Analytics:
    • Monitor community growth and engagement metrics.
    • Prepare reports on community activities, website performance and engagement trends.
    • Provide ideas and recommendations for improving content strategies and community outreach.
  • Supporting the Alliance’s presence at European and international trade fairs and events, as well as local and national events in the countries where Arqus has a presence.
  • Support to the Communications management in the good use of the Arqus corporate image as well as the correct use of the agreed standard terminology.
  • Any other function assigned to him/her by the Communications Management, the Secretary-General, the Executive Council or the Alliance Coordinator.

Requirements

  • At least level 2 of the Spanish Framework of Qualifications for Higher Education (Bachelor Degree), or its equivalent according to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) 6. Higher-level qualifications fulfilling the requirement will also be accepted.
  • Languages:
    • If you are a native speaker of Spanish: Accredited C1 level in English language certified according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the tables of official certificates accepted by UGR*.
    • If you are a native speaker of English: Accredited C1 level in Spanish language certified according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the tables of official certificates accepted by UGR*.
    • If you are a native speaker of another language: Accredited C1 level in English and Spanish language, certified in both cases according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the tables of official certificates accepted by UGR*

Offer 2: Graphic Designer

Under the supervision of the Communications Director, and as part of the Central Arqus Communications Office, the Community Manager will be responsible for performing the following duties:

  • Support for the design and implementation of the Arqus Communication Plan.
  • Support for the coordination of the Arqus Communication team both at Alliance and local level.
  • Graphic design and branding:
    • Design graphics for digital and print media, such as websites, newsletters, brochures, reports, event materials and social media.
    • Maintain and evolve the visual identity and branding guidelines of the alliance.
    • Create innovative designs that reflect the alliance’s academic values, mission and cultural diversity.
  • Multimedia content creation.
    • Collaborate with communications teams to develop audio-visual content to support key campaigns, events and initiatives.
    • Create banners, infographics and visual resources.
    • Design user-friendly templates for reports, presentations and internal documents.
    • Develop digital materials, such as video graphics, animations and interactive media for the website and social media.
    • Support for the production of audio-visual content for webinars, online events and video presentations.
    • Ensure that all visual content meets accessibility standards and is optimised for multicultural and diverse audiences.
  • Support in the creation of content and maintenance of the Alliance website.
    • Design, update and manage content on the alliance’s WordPress-based website, ensuring consistent integration between visuals and written content.
    • Work closely with the web development team to optimise the web design, structure and user experience.
  • Support in the management of the Alliance’s merchandising policy.
  • Supporting the Alliance’s presence at European and international trade fairs and events, as well as local and national events in the countries where Arqus has a presence.
  • Support to the Communication department in the correct use of the Arqus corporate image and the correct use of the agreed standard terminology.
  • Any other function assigned by the Communications Management, the Secretary-General, the Executive Council or the Arqus Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Official degree of Higher Technician or its equivalent corresponding to at least level 1 of the Spanish Framework of Qualifications for Higher Education, or its equivalent according to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) 5. Higher-level qualifications fulfilling the requirement will also be accepted.
  • Languages:
    • If you are a native speaker of Spanish: Accredited B2 level in English language certified according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the tables of official certificates accepted by UGR*.
    • If you are a native speaker of English: Accredited B2 level in Spanish language certified according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the tables of official certificates accepted by UGR*.
