Contamination Lab

Since 2018, the Contamination Lab is a “lab” of creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation of the
University of Padua.

Students enrolled on bachelor or/and master degrees as well as graduated and phd students of the
University of Padua can apply through a call which take place once a year.

The aim of the programme is to promote a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation, interdisciplinarity
and the dissemination of new learning models.

Contamination Lab offers a 5-month experiential training course during which students work in a
multidisciplinary team on a project idea of real application. Contamination Lab is a place of
“contamination” between students and graduates of different disciplines and academic backgrounds where the contribution of individuals is maximised in order to generate more ideas, new visions and new
solutions.

The challenge will be proposed by a partner company, by local authorities or by the C_Labbers themselves and during the course the team will be supported by C_Lab tutors.

The macro programme activities are: training with a 42 hour Course of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and
Design Thinking, team working and tutoring, a 12-hour seminar on transversal competences (Soft Skills) and a 3-day Summer Camp with national and international guests introducing talks about Lean Management, Problem Solving, Sustainability , Public speaking and communication and many other issues.

At the end of the programme, all the teams present their project idea in a 3-minute pitch that will be
judged along with the project work by a mixed jury of experts in innovation, project management and start-ups and the best three project will be awarded with a price money.

All the students that complete the programme and all the activities receive a certificate of participation and an “open badge” on transversal competences and 6 ECTS.

Every year the Contamination Lab offers some new modules to its participants in order to implemet and
improve.
