Arqus participated, on 16 October 2025, in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) Members Dialogue 2025 in Brussels, with a session titled “The European Approach in practice” and represented by the University of Graz local coordinator of the Arqus Joint Masters Programme in European Studies, Ulrike Krawagan.

Moderated by Ronny Heintze (AQAS), the panel featured diverse perspectives from ministries, quality assurance agencies, and universities. Speakers included Ulrike Krawagan, from the Arqus Alliance; Robin Schormans (Maastricht University) from the YUFE Alliance; and Eva Fernández de Labastida from Unibasq.

In this session, the speakers shared their experiences with the European Approach for Quality Assurance (QA) of Joint Programmes, focusing on its added value and the challenges encountered, underlying the future opportunities that might come up, whether the implementation of the European Approach was a success or a failure.

During the talk, it was also tackled the implementation of the Joint Programmes and the upcoming European Degree label, reflecting on how this will affect the use of the European Approach.
