On 9 May, the Arqus local team at the University of Granada celebrated Europe Day with an outreach campaign at secondary schools in the city of Granada. They promoted European values and provided information on exchange, mobility and volunteering possibilities to prospective Arqus Alliance students from the University of Granada.

Granada’s Arqus team visited five secondary schools (Atalaya, Alhambra, Soto de Rojas, Miguel de Cervantes and Virgen de las Nieves).  With the support of the European Documentation Centre of the UGR and Europe Direct, they gave short presentations and distributed dissemination material.

More than 350 students participated by answering short questions about Europe, the integration process, its main institutions and specific programmes for young people and university students, such as the Erasmus+ programme.

The team also provided detailed information on the opportunities offered by the Arqus Alliance to learn languages, study at other Arqus universities and undertake joint projects with other students, as well as training mobilities.
