20 Feb 2026One Health in Action is a Challenge-Based (CBL) & Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) designed for students across the Arqus Alliance who want to explore the interconnected health challenges affecting humans, animals, and the environment.
This innovative and interdisciplinar course will enable students to develop practical skills and design evidence‑based solutions to real‑world One Health problems.
Through a unique blend of online learning, hands-on laboratory and field activities, and international teamwork, participants will earn 6 ECTS credits and receive an official Arqus certificate of attendance.
Course structure:

The course concludes with an open online symposium where international student teams present their Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) project outcomes—evidence-based proposals addressing real One Health challenges.

Their combined expertise covers: microbiology, parasitology, vector ecology, mycology, AMR, climate–health interactions, environmental data analysis, and evolutionary biology.
Challenge-Based Learning Projects:
Students work in international, interdisciplinary teams (4–6 members) to address real-world problems linked to:
Teams develop evidence-based, feasible solutions supported by scientific literature, data analysis, and insights from field and laboratory work.
