Gabriel Maciá Fernández, Co-Lead of Digital Arqus, Coordinator of the Arqus Joint Master’s Programme in International Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence (MICAC), and Vicerrector of Digital Transformation at the University of Granada, participated on 26 January in the “Digital Platforms of Young University Alliances (DiPYUA)” workshops at the University of Malaga, held as part of the Uninovis International Conference 2026.

The coordinator shared insights on digital infrastructure and credential challenges in the first session of the workshop titled “Experiences from 1st and 2nd Generation Alliances – Challenges in Digital Infrastructures and Credentials”, alongside Mathew Abrahams from NeurotechEu, .

This workshop lasted two days (26–27 January) and provided an opportunity for exchange and collaboration between first- and second-generation Alliances and young Alliances, focusing on two main objectives:

  1. Understanding the specific requirements of digital platforms for European University Alliances, drawing on the experiences and approaches of first- and second-generation alliances.
  2. Exploring the possibilities offered by two recent EUA-tailored digital platforms: Agora and Ouffox.

In addition to Arqus, the workshop brought together several first- and second-generation alliances (NeurotechEu, Ulysseus, UNIC, UNIgreen) as well as young alliances (EUNICoast, EUPeace, EUonAIR, UNINOVIS).
