Arqus is pleased to announce the launch of the 12th edition of the Arqus Café, a well-established initiative within the Alliance that promotes plurilingualism, intercultural dialogue and community building.

Taking place from 16 March to 29 May 2026, this new edition will once again offer students and staff from Arqus partner universities the opportunity to proceside foreign languages in an informal, welcoming and multicultural online environment.

A space for language practice and cultural exchange

The Arqus Café is designed as a relaxed conversation rather than a formal classroom. Sessions are facilitated by native-level tutors who guide discussions and encourage active participation, helping attendees improve their speaking skills and gain confidence in their target language.

Meetings are held weekly via Google Meet, enabling participants from across Europe to connect easily and engage in meaningful intercultural exchange, all in a friendly atmosphere.

Registration and participation

Registration for the 12th edition opens on 23 February 2026 and is available to students and staff of Arqus universities using their institutional email address. After registration and group allocation, participants will receive a dedicated meeting link for their selected language café.

To recognise their engagement, participants who attend at least six sessions will receive an official Arqus Café Certificate of Participation.

Strengthening the Arqus community

As part of the Arqus Plurilingual and Intercultural Hub, the Arqus Café plays a key role in fostering lingustic diversity and strengthening connections within the Alliance. Beyond language learning, it creates opportunities for participants to discover new cultures, share perspectives and expand their international networks.

All members of the Arqus community interested in enhancing their language skills and intercultural competences are warmly invited to take part in this new edition.
