The University of Minho opens a new Arqus Space on the Gualtar campus

On 21 October, the University of Minho (UMinho) opened a space dedicated to the Arqus University Alliance at the centre of the Gualtar campus (Braga). 

This new Arqus space will aim to promote the Arqus initiatives and opportunities offered to the University of Minho community, and highlight UMinho’s active participation in Arqus.

The opening ceremony of this space was attended by Rui Vieira de Castro, Rector of the University of Minho, and the members of the Arqus coordination team at UMinho: Manuel João Costa, Teresa Ruão, Hernâni Gerós, and Vanessa Alves, along with students, researchers, academics, and administrative staff.

In the words of the coordinator of Arqus-UMinho, Manuel João Costa: “This mural is a physical sign that the University of Minho is in Europe and is in Arqus.” The pro-rector for Student Affairs and Pedagogical Innovation added also: “We are all part of this construction and we are delighted to have a space dedicated to Arqus and our partners in the alliance.’
