29 May 2025The 3rd Forum of European University Alliances is taking place on 12-13 June 2025 at the University of Wrocław, an Arqus university, under the aegis of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The event is the third in a series of Forums organised in the framework of the rotating presidency of the European Union, highlighting the centrality of this flagship initiative to the European policy debate. The first was organised by France in June 2022, and the second by Spain in September 2023. The objective is to serve as a platform for dialogue, exchange of experiences, and shaping the future of the European Universities Initiative as a driver of transformation of the European Higher Education system.
On this occasion, the programme includes participants from Member States, the European Commission, the European Parliament, stakeholder organisations from the sector and beyond, including student organisations, who will all exchange with the alliances and their community of practice FOREU4ALL. The discussions will centre on the impact of the EUI on the European Higher Education system and beyond, together with its potential to strengthen Europe in the current complex geopolitical context, from the perspective of different stakeholders; it will also address the future sustainability of the initiative and showcase initiatives for student engagement.
The Forum programme includes:
