10 Dec 2025The Arqus Alliance is delighted to announce that the project submitted by the International Relations Office of the University of Wrocław in the NAWA – Support for European Universities competition has been awarded 400,000 EUR in funding.
This success represents a major step forward for the university and for Arqus as a whole, enabling dynamic and long-term cooperation within the Alliance. The project will run until 31 May 2027 and will continue to reinforce Wrocław’s commitment to strengthening international collaboration in education, research and academic administration.
Thanks to this funding, the University of Wrocław will be able to expand its participation in several ambitious initiatives, designed to foster mobility, academic innovation and new opportunities for the entire Arqus community. One of the central elements of the project is the continuation of researcher networking and scientific mobility, allowing academics to engage more closely in joint grant applications, publications and collaborative research. Alongside this, the university will host an international “AI in Didactics” conference, opening a space for debate on the role of Artificial Intelligence in teaching and learning, one of the most rapidly evolving fields with higher education today.
Student engagement will also play a significant role. Within the project framework, Wrocław will develop “United in curiosity” workshops, aimed at strengthening soft and intercultural skills among Arqus students, while a twinning-format exchange will connect pairs of student groups across partner universities. The initiative also introduces a new strand specifically dedicated to university staff: short study visits will be offered to administrative and technical personnel, promoting knowledge exchange, professional development and closer institutional alignment across Arqus.
In parallel, work will advance on the implementation of the joint Bachelor’s programme “Physics for Technology”, bringing the Alliance closer to the launch of a shared degree at undergraduate level. Finally, the project will include the organisation of a “Summer School on Democracy”, providing students with the opportunity to analyze the current socio-political polarisation.
All of these actions reflect a deep, forward-looking commitment to internationalisation. The University of Wrocław is confident that this project will not only strengthen its role within Arqus, but also bring lasting benefits to students, researchers and staff across the network. The Alliance celebrates this achievement with great enthusiasm and looks forward to witnessing the developments and collaborations that will emerge over the coming years.
