As a part of The Action Line 2: “Widening access, Inclusion and Diversity”, the main focus of this working group was the early guidance and counselling in helping school children to make informed decisions about participating in higher education and choosing a career and in the reduction and eradication of gender and other bias. The Arqus partner universities have shared the best practices and existing intervention models and academics with primary and secondary school pupils, teachers and career advisors.
The main aim of the task force has been increasing primary school pupils’ knowledge of professional activities and role models, their self-determination and the autonomous capacities to make a choice and soft skills from very early stages.
The group of preventive early career education was expected to share different models and resources, and to organise training with experts. Specifically, the following outputs were developed:
