Derived from the successful cooperation within the Community of Practice ‘Cultural Activities’, the bottom-up initiative Arqus musical performance aims at bringing together the excellence of Arqus partners’ music ensembles to prepare the international performance on behalf of the Arqus Alliance. Vivaldi’s Gloria is selected to be a culmination of a series of masterclasses, rehearsals, vocal training and best practice exchange between partners: this exceptional piece of art, performed jointly by representatives of partner university music ensembles at the Arqus Annual Conference 2026 in Maynooth, will showcase the common language of Western European music stylistics and highlight the intercultural interpretative perspective of a musical art piece. The experience of joint performance, as well as knowledge and practical skills acquired through masterclasses held at partner institutions, will be used later in the performance of various works of Western European and global classics.
