As part of the GUSEGG Summer School in July 2025, the Arqus Thematic Days on AI and Digitalization brought together over 100 academics, professionals and students to explore Digitalisation & AI: Academic Challenges. The event fostered critical dialogue on how AI is reshaping research, teaching and academic infrastructures across disciplines.
A second thematic day followed in September 2025 under the title Digital Transformation and Democracy, hosted within the Data, Democracy & the New Social Fabric Summer School. This session examined the influence of social media, digitalisation and artificial intelligence on democratic processes and societal structures. To promote inclusivity and open access, all lectures were recorded and shared via a dedicated YouTube channel, with supporting materials available on GitHub, and later posted on the Arqus website and YouTube.
