First graduation ceremony of the Arqus Joint Master’s Programme in European Studies

26 Jan 2026Arqus is thrilled to announce that the University of Graz will host the first graduation ceremony of the Arqus Joint Master’s Programme in European Studies this Friday, 29 January. The ceremony will be broadcast live on YouTube from 15:15 to 17:00 CET.
To mark this significant occasion, the ceremony will feature keynote messages from Dorothy Kelly, Arqus Alliance Coordinator, as well as contributions from representatives and academic coordinators of this Master’s programme.
The event will welcome over 50 guests and around 30 students, including 21 graduates from all three generations and from the four Arqus partner universities involved: the University of Granada, the University of Graz, Leipzig University and Vilnius University.
Students who are unable to travel to Graz will be able to follow the ceremony live via the Arqus YouTube channel. The event is open to the public online, and everyone is warmly invited to join.
On the same day, the University of Graz will also host a roundtable discussion to mark the official launch of the Arqus Women Connect, a bottom-up initiative funded by the Arqus Innovation fund and dedicated to supporting women in the early stages of their professional careers. This event will explore the role of the initiative and the initial steps women take when transitioning from student life to the academic and professional world.
