First graduation ceremony of the Arqus Joint Master’s Programme European Studies

Arqus is thrilled to announce that the University of Graz will host the first graduation ceremony of the Arqus Joint Master’s Programme European Studies this Thursday, 29 January. The ceremony will be broadcast live on YouTube from 15:15 to 17:00 CET.

About 40 students of all three generations (among them 22 graduates), 30 representatives of the four partner universities and the Arqus Alliance, as well as over 50 guests, will participate in person to mark this significant occasion.

The ceremony will feature keynote messages from Dorothy Kelly, Arqus Alliance Coordinator, as well as contributions from representatives and academic coordinators of this Master’s programme.

Students who are unable to travel to Graz will be able to follow the ceremony live via the Arqus YouTube channel. The event is open to the public online, and everyone is warmly invited to join.

The Arqus Joint Master’s Programme European Studies is a full-time master’s degree jointly offered by four leading Arqus universities: University of Granada, University of Graz, Leipzig University, and Vilnius University. This programme examines Europe’s role in a rapidly changing world through interdisciplinary teaching, mobility opportunities, and research-based learning, equipping students with the skills that shape global debates.

On the same day, the University of Graz will also host a roundtable discussion to mark the official launch of the Arqus Women Connect, a bottom-up initiative funded by the Arqus Innovation fund and dedicated to supporting women in the early stages of their professional careers. This event will explore the role of the initiative and the initial steps women take when transitioning from student life to the academic and professional world.
