The Arqus Open Science Ambassador Network is a joint expert network of Open Science enthusiasts, who are working together in order to promote Open Science, share best practices in their specific scientific disciplines and give advice when requested. Its members are engaged in several areas of Open Science and act as intermediaries between researchers, universities and the alliance. Their drivers for promoting Open Science lie primarily in their belief in positive impacts of openness on research and its connection to society. This includes free access to academic knowledge, ensuring the reproducibility of research results, improving research processes and fostering cooperation, interdisciplinary research and the exchange between different disciplines and people outside academia.
The ambassadors engage in several task forces, e.g., the organization and provision of an Open Science Award for early career researchers, organizing webinars on new developments in Open Science, and the provision of documents and materials in an information hub.
You also want to become an Open Science Ambassador in our network?
