Arqus students are invited to register for two new online beginner language courses in Polish and Lithuanian, organised within the Plurilingual and Intercultural Hub. The registration deadline for both courses is next 17 April 2026!

Both courses are open to students from all Arqus universities and offer an opportunity to develop basic language skills while learning more about the cultures of fellow Alliance countries.

Online Polish Course A1

Registration for the online Polish A1 course will be open until 17 April 2026.

The course will run from 21 April to 9 June 2026 over eight weeks, with 90-minute classes taking place twice a week. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays at 5:00 pm and Thursdays at 1:15 pm (CEST).

  • Week 1: 21 April and 23 April
  • Week 2: 28 April and 30 April
  • Week 3: 5 May and 7 May
  • Week 4: 12 May and 14 May
  • Week 5: 19 May and 21 May
  • Week 6: 26 May and 28 May
  • Week 7: 2 June and 4 June
  • Week 8: 9 June

Online Lithuanian Course A1

Registration for the online Lithuanian A1 course will also be open until 17 April 2026.

The course will take place from 20 April to 24 June 2026 and will run for ten weeks, with classes twice a week. Sessions will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 11:30 am (CEST).

  • Week 2: 27 April and 29 April
  • Week 3: 4 May and 6 May
  • Week 4: 11 May and 13 May
  • Week 5: 19 May and 20 May
  • Week 6: 25 May and 27 May
  • Week 7: 1 June and 3 June
  • Week 8: 8 June and 10 June
  • Week 9: 15 June and 17 June
  • Week 10: 22 June and 24 June

Participation and Attendance

Each course is open to two students per Arqus university, with a maximum of 18 participants in total. Up to 25 students may initially be invited, with additional applicants placed on a waiting list.

Participants will receive a confirmation email after registration informing them whether they have been accepted or placed on the waiting list.

Students who actively participate in at least 75% of the classes and submit 75% of the required tasks on time and with satisfactory preparation will receive a certificate of attendance.

Attendance at the first sessions is mandatory. Participants who do not attend the first class will receive a warning. If they miss the second class as well, they will lose their place and the next person on the waiting list will be contacted.
