The Community of Practice (CoP) “AI and Languages Learning and Teaching” invites you to its sixth online workshop in a series of meetings and training sessions that will be held on Microsoft Teams.

Professor Anna Turula (University of Wrocław) will deliver a session titled “AI Tools for Enhancing Foreign Language Learner Autonomy” on 3 June 2026, from 10:00 to 12:00 (CEST).

Workshop description:

This workshop will examine key constructs such as learner autonomy – distinguishing between independent and interdependent learning – and self-regulation. Building on this foundation, we will then explore various ways in which artificial intelligence can assist autonomous, self-regulated learning.

In addition, the session will introduce several AI-based tools, pedagogical prompting techniques and awareness-raising activities that can be used in the context of (autonomous) language learning and promoting autonomy in the foreign language classroom.
