The second cohort of MICAC begins its final year in Granada

The second cohort of the Master in International Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence (MICAC) has officially started its second and final academic year at the University of Granada.

Last Friday, students of Arqus Joint Master’s Programme in International Cybersecurity and Cyberintellenge (MICAC) gathered at the UGR School of Computer and Telecommunication Engineering for their Welcome Session, marking the beginning of the third semester of the programme and a new stage in their MICAC journey.

After completing their first semester at the University of Padua and their second semester at Vilnius University, the students are now continuing their studies in Granada. During this semester, they will undertake the academic programme delivered by UGR before moving on to the final stage of the Master’s, focused mainly on the Master’s Thesis, with the programme concluding with the Graduation Week hosted by the University of Minho.

MICAC is a two-year, 120-ECTS joint Master’s programme developed by four Arqus universities: the University of Granada, the University of Padua, Vilnius University and the University of Minho. The programme combines advanced training in cybersecurity and cyberintelligence with a strong international dimension, requiring students to study in different European academic environments throughout the degree.

For the MICAC team, and for Arqus, the arrival of the second cohort in Granada represents an important milestone in the consolidation of the programme. Each academic transition is also an opportunity to see the programme growing, learning from previous experience and strengthening the cooperation between the partner universities.
