Arqus Women Connect is a dynamic international network for female students and recent graduates from the nine universities in the Arqus Alliance. Guided by the principles of community, empowerment, and equality, the initiative provides a safe, inclusive, and inspiring space where women can connect, grow, and lead.
We believe that empowerment begins with connection. Arqus Women Connect brings together women from a variety of academic disciplines, cultural backgrounds and countries, enabling them to share experiences, exchange ideas and support each other as they navigate university life and prepare to enter the workforce. By building bridges across borders and generations, we foster meaningful dialogue, collaboration and long-lasting professional and personal relationships.
Our network operates both online and in person. Through our dedicated Moodle platform, members gain access to practical resources, mentorship opportunities and valuable information designed to support career development and personal growth. The platform also serves as a space for storytelling, mutual encouragement and sharing real-life experiences that reflect the diversity and strength of women in academia and beyond.
Arqus Women Connect also hosts events at Arqus universities to create opportunities for discussion, networking and inspiration. Our inaugural event in Graz convened female academic leaders from various Arqus institutions to address the obstacles women encounter when entering the workforce, exemplifying our dedication to cross-university collaboration and the promotion of visible role models.
We firmly believe in inclusion and equity, and in a world that is free from discrimination and inequality. Through collective action and shared purpose, Arqus Women Connect aims to nurture a strong network of emerging female leaders: visionary thinkers, innovators and changemakers who are ready to transform their environments and advance gender equality at every level of society.
