The programme offers students from across Arqus Alliance the opportunity to engage in multilingual discussions, develop intercultural skills and prepare for international mobility. Applications are open until 31 October 2026.

Arqus is pleased to announce the seventh edition of Arqus moVEs, its virtual exchange programme designed to foster intercultural dialogue and help students prepare for international mobility experiences.

Open to all students enrolled at an Arqus partner university, Arqus moVEs offers a unique opportunity to connect with peers from different cultural, linguistic and academic backgrounds, regardless of geographical distance. As a pre-mobility initiative, the programme encourages students to explore the benefits of international exchange and gain an intercultural experience before deciding whether to embark on a physical mobility programme.

Through online interaction, participants will engage in a multilingual environment that promotes mutual understanding, active listening and open discussion on global issues. The programme also aims to strengthen students’ soft skills, encouraging them to exchange perspectives, discover new cultures and develop meaningful connections across borders.

An intercultural experience from wherever you are

Arqus moVEs brings together students of different ages, disciplines, languages and time zones, creating a space for dialogue and collaboration across the Alliance. By connecting participants through virtual exchange, the programme makes international and intercultural experiences accessible to students who are considering mobility opportunities or simply wish to broaden their horizons.

Previous participants have highlighted the programme’s enriching and transformative nature, describing it as a space where genuine connections and cultural curiosity flourish.

Kateryna, one of the former participants, recalled feeling part of a welcoming community rather than a stranger, describing the experience as “truly magical”. Enrique captured the programme’s spirit as “a beautiful linguistic and cultural dance between two or more parts”, while other students emphasised its ability to inspire curiosity about different cultures and offer new perspectives.

Apply by 31 October 2026

Students interested in taking part in the seventh edition of Arqus moVEs are invited to submit their applications by 31 October 2026. Places are limited.

The programme’s kick-off meetings will take place on 4 and 5 November 2026. Selected students will receive further information about the sessions, including the Zoom link for the kick-off session on 4 November, which is intended exclusively for participants and whose attendance is highly recommended.
