As part of the Alliance’s Twinning Programme, a delegation from the University of Minho visited Vilnius University from 11 to 15 May 2026. Five master’s and PhD students from the School of Economics, Management and Political Science (EEG), accompanied by Prof. Luis Mota and Prof. Edna Costa, concluded the second phase of this Twinning programme, dedicated to the theme “Contemporary Societal and Political Challenges in Gender and LGBTIQ+ Rights”.

Following an initial phase, held between 21 and 24 of April 2026 at EEG, the students continued to learn with in-person seminars, workshops and sessions with organisations, deepening their reflection on gender, sexuality, LGBTIQ+ rights and public policy through a multidisciplinary and comparative approach.

The visit also included the presentation of the group projects developed throughout the initiative, reinforcing the collaborative work developed between the two institutions, consolidating the analysis of issues related to gender, sexuality and public strategy, within the framework of Arqus.
