Leipzig University organises the seminar “English as a medium of instruction”

13 Nov 2020Leipzig University will hold next week the seminar “English as a medium of instruction”, designed for language teachers whose students are enrolled in English courses for scientific and academic purposes or content courses in the English language.
Themes will include common errors in academic writing, effective paragraphing and good lexical patterns for academic style.
Language and interactive skills such as communicating research aims, defining key words and telling a research story will be practiced.
This workshop is open to all Arqus partners and will be accessible over Zoom.
Participants should be prepared to use a camera and microphone during the session.
Mary Waltie has over 20 years of professional teaching practice at German universities and institutes of higher learning. Her areas of focus include academic purposes and natural sciences.
