Summer School “Neuroscience of excess weight” in Granada

The University of Granada encourages Arqus PhD students to join CIMCYC International Doctoral Summer School “Neuroscience of excess weight” on 2-6 June 2025.

This Summer School is a five-day event in which leading academics will address the most current lines of research focused on the characterisation and intervention in excess weight. A unique opportunity for young researchers in cognitive neuroscience! It will take will take place at the Mind, Brain and Behavior research centre of the University of Granada (Spain).

A series of lectures by leading experts in the field, like Antonio Verdejo, Natalia Lawrence or Uku Vainik, will lay the foundation for understanding and critically examining various findings in the neuroscience of excess weight. Students will have the opportunity to meet and interact with the speakers in a dedicated space for informal discussions.

Enrollment is completely free of charge, however, places are limited. In case of any unforeseen event that makes it impossible for you to come once you have registered and accepted, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer your place to another person. 

Furthermore, we will have some scholarships for students to cover part of the transportation and lodging costs. Students coming from Arqus Universities have an enrollment preference.

The summer school will be entirely in English.
