Among other things, this Arqus team aims to promote the transfer of knowledge and technology between local ecosystems, and to explore ways in which universities and their ecosystems can work more closely together.

From 22nd to 26th July, the University of Padua (Unipd) was visited by Carla Alexandra Pereira Rocha (Departamento de Produçao e Sistemas) and Iris Carmo Silva Saraiva (Gabinete de Projetos Especiais) from the University of Minho thanks to the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility programme.

They were hosted by the Third Mission and Valorisation of Research office at Unipd, where had interesting and productive meetings with Stefania Coppo about some of the activities included in Arqus local ecosystems.

They also worked with Cristina Felicioni, director of Alumni Unipd, to organise the next Alumni Talks for the Arqus community.

Other important contacts have been made with some Unipd professors from the departments of Industrial Engineering (DII) and Industrial Systems Technology and Management (DTG) for a possible joint Master’s degree between the two Arqus universities.

Carla and Iris were also able to visit and admire the university’s cultural heritage sites, such as Palazzo Bo and the Rector’s apartments, the Botanical Garden and the Museum of Man and Nature, as well as some of Padua’s top attractions, such as Caffè Pedrocchi, where they tasted the famous coffee with mint.

The University of Padua was very pleased to host these colleagues as part of the Alliance’s activities to strengthen relationships between its members and to focus on the successful achievement of common goals.
